Workday Adoption Project Update Volume 7

Hello NEIU Colleagues, 

Before you sign off to enjoy much-deserved rest over the Thanksgiving Holiday, we wanted to provide you with a short Workday Adoption project update.

ACADEMIC AFFAIRTS - TRAINING RESOURCES UPDATE

We have updated the training section of workday.neiu.edu. To assist with the organization of NEIU's growing library of training materials, there is a new page called Academic Affairs. This page provides resources and information to those who are responsible for entering information into Workday specific for faculty.

PAYROLL UPDATE

Pay slips are now available for viewing by end of day on the Monday or Tuesday morning before your payroll date. This increased visibility allows you to plan ahead and review your upcoming paycheck. The date your funds will be available remains as posted on our website here. As a reminder, please review your payslips for accuracy and contact payrollfeedback@neiu.edu if you have any questions.If you see any concerns or have questions, please send your inquiry to payrollfeedback@neiu.edu and we will work with you and/or your home department to resolve the issue.

WEEKLY COMMUNICATIONS ARCHIVE

We received feedback from one NEIU member who shared that it can be overwhelming to search for a previous edition of our Workday weekly messages in their email inbox. To make it easier, we have consolidated all previous editions here.

HAVE A SUGESSTION? SUBMIT IT FOR REVIEW

The Workday Suggestion Box is a way for the campus community to provide feedback related to their experience or enhancements they would like to see in the Workday system.  Here is the link to the digital  “Suggestion Box.” 

A few things to note:

  • The “Suggestion Box” is not a place to seek help or support.  Colleagues still need to submit a ticket to the Support Desk (UTS) - helpdesk@neiu.edu

  • The “Suggestion Box” is also not a place to share your Workday tips/tricks.  We ask that you still use the Google Form link for those types of stories. 

TRAINING SUPPORT

What training is available now? There are 4 options:

  • On-demand courses are courses that provide information about Workday and how to complete key tasks. These courses include recordings and are available at workday.neiu.edu

  • Job aids are simple, clear instructions on how to initiate a task. The most up-to-date job aids are available anytime for all users at workday.neiu.edu

  • Individual support through Academic Affairs, HR, and UTS continues to be offered. Call us and let us know how we can help!

  • New hire orientation
