About Workday Financial Training
The Workday Financials Project team is committed to providing all employees impacted by the Workday Financial transformation with the skills and knowledge of the Workday Financial system that employees need to perform their jobs effectively.
Why Do I Need Training?
Completing Workday training will help you use Workday as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Workday Financial Training Overview
Role-Specific Training
- Employees will only be required to complete the training that supports their daily activities.
- Every employee impacted by the Workday Financial transformation will be trained for every security role assigned to them. Employees may be assigned multiple roles.
Mandatory
Training completion will be required to receive access to Workday Financial functionality.
Automated

Training courses and course materials will be assigned to you in the D2L Learning Management System (LMS).

You will receive a message when training becomes available to you. Also, you will receive periodic reminders to complete the assigned training.
Continued Support
Support materials, such as instructional manuals and videos, will be available to you on the Training webpage. Please note, however, that you will need to complete all training assigned to you in the LMS (not on the Training webpage) to get access to Workday Financial.
When Will Workday Financial Training Occur?
Currently, Workday Financial training is scheduled to run from May until mid-July 2026.

- Stay tuned for upcoming training-related communications from the project team
What is My Role?
All Workday training is specific to the functional duties you will be performing using Workday (aka your role) come July 1. The project team created several training curricula aligned with your roles in Workday. You may be assigned more than one training role and therefore training curricula.

Workday Training Courses
Click here to review all role-specific Workday training courses offered by the Project team. When Workday Training starts in May, these training courses will be available both in the D2L Learning Management System (LMS) and on this page.
What Workday Training Do I Need to Take?
You will receive an invitation to via email to complete Workday training assigned to you. If you did not receive an invitation to compete Workday training for a specific role, that training has not been assigned to you. If you need training for a specific Workday role(s), please fill out the I need Workday training form (below) to let us know which training you need.

What if Workday Training Was Assigned to Me in Error?
If you have been assigned training for a Workday role you don't need, our apologies for the confusion. Please fill out the form below to request your name to be taken off Workday training. The project team will review your request and take you off the training list. Please note that if you don't complete this form and simply skip your assigned training, we will assume you still need the training and follow-up with you and, potentially, with your supervisor.
