About Workday Financial Support

As the July 1 go-live date approaches, the project team remains committed to supporting the Workday community throughout the transition and beyond. Employees will continue to have access to support resources, including Area Experts, reference materials, refresher Workday Financial training, and real time assistance in the form of Office Hours to help reinforce learning and answer questions as they begin using Workday in their daily work. Our goal is to ensure every employee feels confident, supported, and prepared for success after go live.

Issue Reporting Tips

  • To ensure timely resolution, when communicating the issue to the IT Service Desk.please clearly indicate that you are reporting a Workday Financial-related issue.
  • When reporting an issue, please provide as much detail as possible. A clear and specific description will help us troubleshoot the root cause, involve the appropriate subject matter experts, and expedite resolution.
  • Attach a screen shot when reporting an issue via the NEIUportal or via email.

Need Help with Your Training? Ask an Area Expert

An Area Expert can provide the following support:

  • Explain the Workday Financial Training Program (e.g., program timeline, available training options, availability of the training)
  • Explain a business process as part of Workday Financial training
  • Facilitate a training session
  • Answer a question about the Workday Financial functionality or system feature
  • Refer employees to the Reference and Training Materials webpage

Need a Training Refresher?

Visit the Reference and Training Materials webpage to access the latest job aids and instructional videos. After you complete your D2L self-paced training, you do NOT need to log into D2L to access the training materials. All reference and training materials are available to you on the Reference and Training Materials webpage for your convenience.

Opting In and Out of the Workday Financial Training

Workday Financial training will be assigned based on our assessment of employee duties. If, after the training date, you have not been assigned training and believe your duties require it, please fill out the I Need Workday Training form below and your request will be reviewed. 

I Need Workday Training

If you have been assigned training for a Workday role you don't need, please fill out the form below to request your name to be taken off Workday training. The project team will review your request and take you off the training list. Please note that if you don't complete this form and simply skip your assigned training, you will continue receiving periodic reminders. To avoid this, please notify us as soon as possible so we can remove you from our training list.

Use the Training Issue and Demand Tacking form to document your training-related questions an requests for additional training materials. The change team will use this information for employee support and training development purposes.
